Well after a long break and many life changes I decided it was time to get back to writing. Hopefully I can keep it up this time and with all that is going on around the world there is plenty to write about!
2015 -
is a new year with a lot of things to talk about, some old and some new....such as the Republican's finally got control of both houses. Wow! Now that we have found out that we put a bunch of spineless worms in place - evidenced by the re-election of John Boehner as house speaker...holy crap what a waste. Frustrating isn't it?? Life does that to you, and in some ways we have earned it. It wasn't easy getting this screwed up, it took many decades of ignoring the corruption and ways of politics as usual to get where we are. Thinking a couple of elections will really make a difference was probably a bit much to ask and way too soon. The trend needs to continue but we really need to focus on the longest standing members. They are the most entrenched, corrupt, despotic, evil, power hungry, self aggrandized turds. They need to go and the lobbyists need to get a whacking. Term limits would take care of much of this all on its own. I know there are a few great long standing Congressmen/women but at the end of the day this is the exception and not the rule so the rules need to change.
